Why a Station

You already have a coding agent, maybe multiple, and the apps you drive them from. Station gives them one place to live, where Claude Code, Codex or both can work on your files. Your agents keep running after you close your laptop, and your files and tools are still there when you come back. Your agents can publish what they build at a link anyone can open. And once your agent connects your Station, a new GitHub issue or an error from your own live site can start your agents on the next job without waiting for you.

Outgrow your app builder. Give your agents a Station.

App builders like Lovable, Bolt and Replit bundle an agent, hosting and a usage-based bill into one product. That’s a good trade until you want more control. The next step is a coding agent of your own.

You can run Claude Code and Codex on your laptop, but they stop when you close it. Anthropic and OpenAI now run their agents in their own clouds, where the work keeps going, but each cloud runs only its own agent. A Station runs both side by side on your files, signed in with your own accounts, and keeps them going. Have one build while the other reviews.

You also keep the live link you had with your app builder. Your agent can put the app online at your Station’s own address, or at a domain you own. Once your agent connects your Station, a new GitHub issue or an error from your live site can start the next job. When the work is ready to ship, Defang Deploy takes it to dev, staging or production, on the cloud and region you choose, in your own account.

The Station is a flat $39/month, and your AI usage stays on the plans you already have.

One place, both agents.

Anthropic and OpenAI each run their agent in their own cloud, and both are good for handing off a task and getting a pull request back. But both start each new session fresh from your saved setup, with nothing still running from the last one. On a Station, you can mix and match Claude Code and Codex, and your work keeps running across sessions. Your agents carry on after you leave, and the app they build stays up at a link anyone can open.

You still drive them from the official apps. Anthropic’s desktop and mobile apps control the Claude session running here, and OpenAI’s remote control does the same for Codex, on the subscriptions you already pay for.

Build it yourself, or have one in about two minutes.

You could build this yourself. You’d rent a server, find a region with room, lock its network down to HTTPS, get it an address and a certificate, install Claude Code and Codex, and set up publishing and webhook routing. Station does all of that for you, on our cloud account, so there’s no server bill of your own. It checks that your link works before it calls your Station ready.

If you’d rather run it yourself, Agent Box, the MIT-licensed runtime Station is built on, is yours to self-host. Start hosted and self-host later, or the other way round. Nothing locks you in.

When Station isn’t the right tool.

  • You want the agent included in the price. We don’t resell AI usage. You bring your own Claude or OpenAI account, and that bill stays between you and your provider.
  • You run a fleet of agents for a team. There is one Station per account today, and no shared seats. Email us if you need more. It shapes what we build next.
  • You never leave your desk. If one laptop is enough, keep the laptop.
