DefangStation

What is a Station?

A workspace on the web that stays put. Your coding agents keep their tools, repository and context there between sessions, and they can publish what they build.

A computer in the cloud for your agents

A Defang Station is a dedicated cloud machine set up for coding agents. The official Claude Code and Codex run there next to your repository and the development tools they need, so your laptop does not have to stay on as the server. Use one, or both on the same files. You drive them from the apps you already use: once you’ve signed Claude Code in, Anthropic’s desktop and mobile apps take over the Claude session running here, and you can pair the Codex app or ChatGPT with Codex from your Station’s page.

You bring the agent account and the code. Station provides the persistent place to work.

What persists

  • Your working tree and project files.
  • The sessions where your agents are running.
  • The tools and configuration your project needs on the Station itself.
  • Its address, which survives a stop and start, so a webhook you registered keeps working.
  • A record of when your Station was built, stopped and started.

It has its own web address

Your Station sits at a fixed web address, which it keeps when you stop and start it. Unlike a sandbox, it can be reached from outside, and that gives you two things a laptop session cannot do.

  • Your agents can serve what they build. Your Station’s address comes with its own subdomains, so an agent can put a running site on one of them, with HTTPS and nothing for you to configure. When you want a better name, point a domain you own at your Station. Either way, publishing is an explicit step (a small config file and a reload), and every Station has the instructions installed, so asking an agent to do it is enough. A published site gets its own hostname, separate from your Station’s private pages, so it carries none of your Station’s sign-in and anyone with the link can open it.
  • GitHub, Linear or your own app can call your agents. For GitHub, tell your agent what to watch and what to do. It sets up the webhook, or walks you through adding it in your repository’s settings if your GitHub account can’t manage webhooks. After that, an issue, pull request or review comment arrives as a signed delivery, which either reaches a session that is already watching or starts a fresh one. For Linear or your own app, ask your agent to set it up too. Your own app has to sign what it sends with your Station’s secret. Nothing is listening until you have done the setup, and unsigned deliveries are refused.

What Station does not replace

Station does not sell an Anthropic or OpenAI subscription, or sit between you and yours. It does not own your Git history, and Defang never receives your agent credentials. It gives the tools you already chose a durable place of their own to run.

The current plan

A Station costs $39/month. Your first hour is free, with no card. Subscriptions run through Stripe Checkout, with a seven-day free trial that begins once you provide card details and charges nothing while it lasts. There is one plan and one size, and each account gets one Station.
